CONCEPTUAL CLUES
After 2
days, finally Miss Zu came into the class with her smile like sun shine in the
morning. hehehe..Alhamdulillah, Miss Zu are
getting better.
Okay….for
today’s class, we learn about the conceptual clues, we are divided into 6 group
because he want to make a game which is, every group must answer the question
that have been provided by Miss Zu, the question is all about conceptual
clues.. Ermmmmmm… Do
you know what is conceptual clues actually?? Words or phrases around an
unfamiliar word which can help you understand the meaning of this new word are
called “CONCEPTUAL CLUES”.
These are
some conceptual clues guideline:
1)
After the word or that directly
follow the unfamiliar word.

Example: the trek, or journey, became more challenging as we approached the top
of the mountain.
2)
Authors often use punctuation
clues to help the reader. Punctuation clues might include commas, dashes, or
parentheses.

Example: in order to keep the
dogs inside the yard, we built a parapet, a low wall or railing.
3)
Before the word called.
-
Example: the worm ate the
middle layer of the peach, which is called the mesocarp.
4)
In the previous sentence.
5)
In the next sentence.
